Times of School Day

Thank you for helping us by ensuring that your child arrives on time.  Children who arrive late miss out on valuable learning time, and late arrival disrupts learning in the classroom.  Find out more about attendance and punctuality on our Attendance page.

As expected, the arrangement of organising the school into ‘bubbles’ has been scrapped.  Therefore, school will begin for everyone at 8.40am, with registration being completed by 8.50am.  As now, members of the Senior Leadership Team will welcome children at the gate at the top of the path and children will walk across the carpark and into the building.  Interventions and teaching will begin immediately after registration is closed, so punctuality is really important to ensure the planned work can be undertaken on time. Staff on duty will continue to provide hand sanitiser as children enter the school and we would appreciate it if we could continue with the wearing of masks during drop off and pick up.

At the end of the day, children in Years 1, 2,3,4,5 and 6 will leave from 3.10pm; Reception children will be released at 3.15pm.  Parents and Carers are welcome to gather in the carpark to collect children; again, we’d welcome your support with the wearing of masks.

School opening times are 32.5 hours per week for Reception, and 32 hours and 55 minutes for KS1 and KS2.
