Our Children have a full hour for lunch. Whether they have a school meal or a packed lunch from home, they eat in the dining hall together creating a wonderful atmosphere.
Our cook has been here for well over a decade meaning they know every child individually, including any allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements.
Everyone from the cook to the children in his class helps to support and nurture my child.

FREE SCHOOL MEALS SAVE PARENTS MONEY, BOOST CHILDREN’S EDUCATION, AND ENSURE MORE CHILDREN EAT HEALTHY FOOD AT LUNCHTIME.
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals. Once they enter Year 3, school meals must be paid for. However, you may be entitled to free School Meals, which saves you money and our School will receive extra funding for every child registered. Please ensure you register even if your child is in Reception or Key Stage 1, which means the school gets extra money even before you need to start paying for school dinners!
Do you qualify?
First, check if you qualify – please go online to the Brighton & Hove Council website by clicking here – free school meals.
Complete the simple online form – you just need your name, date of birth and National Insurance number.
If your child(ren) are eligible, they will receive a free, healthy meal at lunchtime – and the school gets extra funding.
If you don’t want your child to have the school meals they can continue as normal – as long as you qualify and you are registered, the school will receive the extra funding whether they have a packed lunch or school dinner.
Why apply?
School meals are healthy- Our onsite catering team at school freshly prepare a range of tasty and healthy meals every day. Research suggests that a healthy lunch can increase children’s concentration.
It will save you money – If you have 2 children and spend £1 a day on lunchbox ingredients for each of them that adds up to about £375 per year.
It will save you time – If you spend 15 minutes a day preparing a packed lunch for your child you will have spent nearly two whole days making packed lunches by the end of the school year!
You will be helping your child’s school – For every child who qualifies and is registered for free school dinners the government gives extra money to the school to help raise achievement for children from lower income families. This funding is called ‘Pupil Premium’. With this money we can support your children with extra resources. How we do this is explained in our Pupil Premium Report, which you can find here.
