New Reception Parents 2022-23
‘Great school, brilliant teachers, our children love it and so do we!’
We are delighted that your child has been offered a place at our school for this September and we warmly welcome you to our school family. There are a few important dates to be aware of to put in your diary:
21st June 2022 at 5.30 is a new Reception parents welcome meeting at school. This is where we will give you information on starting school, school uniform and how to order it, school lunches and a chance to meet some key members of staff and governors. You will also receive a starting school information pack at this meeting.
To aid an easy transition, your child is also invited to a play date, where he/she will visit the Reception classroom, play with the resources and meet the Reception staff. The class will be divided into 3 small groups for the play date to ensure it isn’t too overwhelming. Each group is allocated a specific day to attend for their play date.
- Group 1: 27th June 2022
- Group 2: 28th June 2022
- Group 3: 29th June 2022
What group is my child in?
- Group 1: if your child was born between – August 2017 to end of January 2018
- Group 2: February 2018 – 13th May 2018
- Group 3: 14th May 2018 – end of August 2018
We are also offering drop in mornings where you and your child may visit for tea/coffee and biscuits to get to know each other. This will be July 11th, 12th and 13th from 9 – 10.30 and held in the Arches.
Please continue to check this page; we are adding useful information including activities you can do with your child in preparation for school amongst other things. We will try and update the information as much as possible. In the meantime, if you have any burning questions or feel there is information we need to know as soon as possible (eg special needs your child may have) please email us at [email protected] Contact name for all enquiries: Joanne Dow
