OWLS is Now Forest School

Year 2

On Thursday 20th May 2021, with great excitement, Year Two will be starting the first of 6 pilot sessions for our new program of forest school.

We will be working in the outdoor classroom/forest school area, getting stuck in with hands-on practical learning, making, playing and nature engagement.

Please make sure that Year Two children come to school on Thursdays with a spare pair of shoes, and appropriate clothing for the weather, as we will be outdoors come rain or shine!

Please check this page for updates and photos as our sessions progress.

Reception and Year 1

In Autumn 2019, Reception and Year 1 were coming in ready for the Outdoor Learning adventure, with their boots and coats on, excited to learn.  Remarkable things were happening in our woods – including a 4 ft nest!  Teachers use the ideas from Outside Learning within their “indoor” lessons, which is invigorating the curriculum further and leading to high-quality learning.
